How do I play?
Plots is a Shikaku-style logic puzzle. Divide the whole grid into rectangular “plots” so that each plot contains exactly one number, and that number equals the plot's area (its number of squares). There are no gaps, no overlaps, and every grid has exactly one solution. Drag from one cell to another to draw a plot.
How do I undo or fix a plot?
Tap any plot to clear it, then draw again. You can't draw over an existing plot — clear it first. Drawing a plot of the wrong size snaps back and counts as a mistake. There's also an undo, and hints if a grid gets stubborn.
How do levels and difficulties work?
Plots is a numbered ladder: everyone gets the same board at each level, and the tiers climb from Easy (6×6) through Medium (7×7) and Hard (8×8) up to Expert. Every level has a puzzle personality — Long Reach, Fenced In, Keystone, Mirror and more — that changes how the logic bites. Every board is built to be solved by pure deduction: you never have to guess. There's also the Daily Challenge — one date-seeded grid that's the same for every player each day; completed days show up as little mosaics.
How do hints and stars work?
You start with 5 hints. Each level you clear for the first time earns one more (up to 10). If you run out, you can choose to watch a short ad for an extra hint — it's optional and never forced. A hint reveals one correct plot, but every hint costs the second star and makes that run ineligible for a personal best, so your bests stay honest. Three stars means no mistakes and no hints; a mistake adds a small time penalty to your scored time.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Plots plays fully offline — no internet connection is required.
What about ads and my data?
Plots is free and supported by occasional full-screen ads between levels, plus an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch for an extra hint. There's no account and your progress stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for the details, including how to manage ad tracking and consent.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Settings in the app and choose Reset Progress. This clears your levels, streaks, and bests on the device. Deleting the app also removes everything.
