Privacy Policy — Plots

Last updated: July 14, 2026.

Plots is a puzzle game published by Caglar Bozkurt. We built it to need as little of your data as possible: you don't create an account, and we never ask for your name, email, or any personal profile. This policy explains the limited data the app and its service providers handle, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Caglar Bozkurt, a sole trader based in Germany. For any privacy question or request, contact caglarbozkurt@outlook.com. Our full postal contact is shown on the app's App Store listing under EU trader information.

2. Data stored only on your device

Your game progress — levels, streaks, best times, star ratings, earned medals, and settings — is saved locally on your device, in the app's own storage. It is not sent to us, and it is removed if you delete the app or tap “Reset Progress” in Settings.

3. Data collected by our service providers

We do not run our own servers that collect your data. Instead, two Google services embedded in the app collect the limited technical data below. This matches the data types shown on our App Store privacy label.

DataCollected byPurpose
Device & advertising identifier (e.g. Apple's IDFA)Google AdMobServing and measuring ads; anti-fraud
Advertising data (ads shown / interacted with)Google AdMobServing and measuring ads

Diagnostics — crash logs and performance dataGoogle AdMob SDKStability and diagnostics
Approximate (coarse) location, derived from IP addressGoogleRegional ad relevance and analytics

This data does not include your name or contact details. The advertising identifier can be used to show you personalized ads and to measure ads across other apps and websites (“tracking”) — but only where you have allowed it (see Section 7).

4. How the data is used

We do not use your data for any other purpose, and we do not sell it for money.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)

6. Third-party services

These providers process the data above as independent controllers under their own policies:

7. Your choices and rights

Everyone

EEA / UK (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, email us — note that because the data is largely tied to an advertising identifier rather than your identity, resetting your advertising ID and deleting the app is often the most direct way to erase it.

California / U.S. states (CCPA/CPRA and similar)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell your information for money, but sharing an advertising identifier with AdMob for personalized advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” under some U.S. laws. You can opt out using the in-app consent choices and the iOS tracking setting above, which stop that sharing.

8. International data transfers

Google may process the data described above on servers in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA/UK, Google relies on legal transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Data retention

On-device data stays until you reset progress or delete the app. Data held by Google (AdMob/Analytics) is retained per Google's own retention policies; we do not keep our own separate copy.

10. Children

Plots is a general-audience game that is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will address it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
